The best part about Jackpot Deuces is that it combines the fun and strategy of video poker with the excitement of progressive jackpot machines. If you're lucky enough to hit a Royal Flush made of diamonds and no wild cards, you'll hit the jackpot. It's a progressive video poker jackpot so it gets a little bigger every day.
Jackpot Deuces Rules
The game is played just like normal video poker except for two exceptions: 2's are wild cards and the pay table is slightly different to account for the introduction of the wild cards.
To start the game, all you have to do is click on the Jackpot Deuces video poker machine from your casino software and choose how much you want to bet on each hand. Like most video poker machines, Jackpot Deuces requires you to bet 5 coins at a time to have a shot at the biggest payouts.
After you get your betting limits figured out, you can hit the "Deal" button to receive 5 cards. Next you can discard as many cards as you want and receive new cards to replace the ones you don't want. Just click on the cards you want to keep to "hold" them and then hit the deal button again to trade out your other cards for new ones.
If you end up with any of the hands listed on the pay table, you'll be paid out according to that table. Since there are wild cards in this version of video poker, you'll have to get 3 of a Kind or better to qualify for a payout.
Jackpot Deuces Pay Table
Once you can get past the fact that 1 pair and 2 pair don't qualify for payouts, you'll see that Jackpot Deuces has a pretty generous pay table. You'll still qualify for lots of hands because the wild cards help out a lot.

Jackpot Deuces Strategy
Because Jackpot Deuces is a specialty game and therefore only found at select online casinos, a mathematically perfect strategy hasn't yet been developed for the game. The progressive jackpot also makes it more confusing because the correct strategy changes as the size of the progressive jackpot grows. Despite these difficulties, I have a strategy card taken from the very similar "Deuces Wild Video Poker" game.
- Always bet 5 coins per deal. You won't qualify for the progressive jackpot if you bet fewer than 5 coins at a time.
If you have 0 deuces in your hand, hold the following hands. Start from the top of the chart and work your way down.
- Hold four to a royal flush
- Hold any paying hand
- Hold four to a straight flush
- Hold three to a royal flush
- Hold all pairs
- Hold four to a flush
- Hold four to an open ended straight
- Hold three to a straight flush
- Hold any four to an inside straight except for inside straights that need a deuce to be completed
- Hold two to a royal flush if you have Jack-Queen or higher
If you have 1 deuce in your hand:
- Hold four of a kind
- Hold any four to a royal flush
- Hold any made full house
- Hold four to an open ended straight flush if all the cards are ranked 5 or higher
- Hold any three of a kind
- Hold all other four to a straight flush
- Hold any three to a royal flush
- Hold three to a straight flush if all the cards are ranked 6 or higher and at least two of them are suited connectors
- Discard everything except the deuce
If you have 2 deuces in your hand:
- Hold any four of a kind
- Hold any four to a royal flush
- Hold four to a straight flush if at least two of them are suited connectors 6 or higher
- Discard everything except the two deuces
If you have 3 deuces in your hand:
- Hold any draw to a royal flush
- Discard everything except the three deuces
If you have 4 deuces in your hand:
- Hold a made royal flush
- Hold the 4 deuces
